After a successful first term, The German Research Foundation (DFG) has approved funds for the Trans-Regional Collaborative Research Centre 83 (SFB TRR 83)  "Molecular Architecture and Cellular Functions of Lipid/Protein Assemblies" for a second four-year term starting in January 2014.

The SFB TRR 83 brings together experts from Heidelberg, Dresden and Bonn. The Coordinator of the SFB is Thomas Söllner of the Heidelberg University Biochemistry Center (BZH) and Christoph Thiele of the LIMES Institute, is the Bonn site Coordinator.
