| By Plane: | Arriving at Cologne/Bonn Airport (CGN): You can take the SB60 bus from the Cologne/Bonn Airport (bus) Terminal 1/2 to Bonn Hauptbahnhof (central station). The trip takes ~30 mins and costs ~ 7.40 Euro. You can then walk or take a bus to the Institute (see below). Your SB60 bus ticket is also valid for local buses in Bonn for 1 hour from the time of purchase. Arriving at Frankfurt International Airport (FRA): You can take the train to Bonn Hauptbahnhof (central station) and then a bus (see below). Alternatively, you can take the fast train (ICE) to Siegburg/Bonn Bahnhof. You can then take the 66 tram to Bonn Hauptbahnhof and walk or take a bus to the institute (see below). |
| By Car: | Coming from highway 565: Exit at the Poppelsdorf Junction, turn right at the first intersection onto Jagdweg, and then turn right at Sternenburgstraße. Drive straight through the main intersection at Sebastianstraße, then take the first turn right onto Carl-Troll-Straße. The LIMES building is located about 300 meters on the right hand side. |
| By train: | You can take a train to Bonn Hauptbahnhof (central station) and then walk or take a bus from the Bonn bus station. Note that trains differ in price and speed. E.g. IC and EC trains are faster and more expensive than regional trains (RB, RE). | By bus: | From Bonn Hauptbahnhof, you can take any of 3 buses. The bus Lines 601 (direction Venusberg-Nervenklinik), 602 (direction Waldau) and 603 (direction Röttgen) all depart from the main bus station at A1. Take the bus to “Am Botanischen Garten,” (ca. 5 mins), then continue walking in the same direction and turn right onto Karlrobert-Kreitenstraße. Walk to the end of the street and then turn left onto Carl-Troll-Straße. The LIMES building is located about 100 meters on the left. | Walking: | The walk from Bonn Haptbahnhof (central station) takes ~15 mins. From inside the station, follow the signs to the Quantiusstraße exit. Once you have exited the station, walk left until you reach Poppelsdorfer Allee, turn right and continue in the direction of the Palace. At the end of the street take a small right and then left turn onto Meckenheimer Allee. Take the third right onto Karlrobert-Kreiten-Straße. At the end of the street turn left onto Carl-Troll-Straße. The LIMES building is located about 100 meters on the left. |

| By train: | When you arrive at the main station (Bonn Hbf) you can take either the underground line, a bus or a taxi. |
| By subway: | Take trains 16 or 63 heading for Cologne (Köln) and exit at "Propsthof Nord". When you come down the stairs of the station, turn right and follow the street "Am Propsthof" for about 300 m. To the left you will find "Gerhard-Domagk-Straße" with the institute in view to your right. This trip takes ~12mins. |
| By bus: | There are several options from the Bonn Hbf (central station): You can take bus 608, 609, 610 or 611 to the stop "Verdistraße". Turn right onto "Verdistraße" and continue to the end of the road. Turn right and then immediately left into the "Gerhard-Domagk-Straße". The Kekulé Institute is located about 200 meters on the left. Take bus 610 or 611 to the stop "Am Propsthof" and walk down "Gerhard-Domagk-Straße". Take bus 608, 609, 610, 611 or 843 to the stop " Auf dem Hügel " and then change to bus 631 until the stop "Gerhard-Domagk-Straße". |
