Collaborative Research Center 704
"Molecular Mechanisms and Chemical Modulation
of Local Immune Regulation"
The Collaborative Research Center 704 is a programme research initiative of the University of Bonn which has been funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) from January 2006 on. The key objective is to decipher important pathways of local or organ-dependent immune regulation, with particular emphasis on the mechanisms of migration, signalling, cellular activation and the generation of functional repertoires.
The SFB 704 is organized in a highly interdisciplinary fashion. It encompasses research efforts in Biology, Chemistry, Bio- and Chemoinformatics, and Medicine. Furthermore, most of the principle investigators of this programme participate in the study path of excellence Molecular Biomedicine.
Integrated Research Training Group of SFB 704
The SFB704 provides a structured graduate program: The IRTG is an Integrated Research Training Group fostering interdisciplinary and technical skills of graduate and guest students.
